Bio & History

A lifetime of practiced spirituality, brought into psychotherapy

Therapist, teacher, guide, healer — bringing a lifetime of practiced and embodied spirituality into the realm of psychotherapy.

My story

Sharon Davis, LMFT

“As a former middle school teacher, I became distinctly aware of the need to educate children about their emotions and how to manage them.”

“I was trained in somatic psychotherapy at the Lomi Clinic here in Santa Rosa. Then continued with study and training of breath and energy work.”

[A paragraph on the years between — what she noticed talk therapy could not reach, and what drew her toward the body]

[A paragraph on what she is like to sit with, and what she wants a nervous new client to know]

“Carl Jung viewed psychology and spirituality as deeply intertwined. He believed that psychological healing and spiritual growth are the exact same journey.”

How I practise

What you can expect from me

You set the pace

Nothing gets pushed. If a session gets close to something you are not ready for, we stop there and that is a good session, not a failed one.

I say what I am doing

You will always know why I am asking you to notice your breath or your hands. No technique gets used on you without an explanation first.

I will tell you if I am not the fit

If what you need sits outside what I do — medication, a specialist, a higher level of care — I will say so on the consultation call and point you somewhere better.

Where I practise

Santa Rosa, and by video

My practice is in Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County, and I see clients by secure video throughout [California].

[Office address, hours and whether an address is printed at all]

Want to see whether we fit?

The consultation is free and there is no obligation on either side. If I am not the right therapist for you, I will say so and help you find someone who is.
